Dear AIA Japan Members,
As some of you may already know, the AIA National Convention
is scheduled for June 7 - June 10 in Los Angeles. Please
check the AIA website for a full schedule of events and
other listings.
I wanted to let everyone know of a few events that may be
of special interest to AIA Japan members, as follows:
Thursday, June 8 16:00-17:30 - Event E-18 is a
meeting for AIA International Committee Members. This is
a free event, and a good chance to voice concerns / interests
of AIA Japan to the International Committee Advisory group.
This will be followed by a meeting of the Overseas Chapters
from 18:00 - 19:30. This is an added event which is not
in the calender, but details will be available soon.
Friday, June 9 18:00-19:30 - Event E-50
is a reception for the International Committee. This will
cost $25, and is an informal gathering likely to be attended
by most Overseas Chapter members as well as International
Committee members.
Events E-18 and E-50 require pre-registration, and there
are some limits on space. I will be attending all of them
on our behalf, but it would be great if AIA Japan could
make a strong showing at these event in its first year!
The variety and depth of other events make Los Angeles well
worth attending. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Regards,
Michel van Ackere, AIA
AIA Japan 2006 President
