We’re moving our October 23rd Beer & Sketch Night to support AIA Japan member James Scott Brew, AIA, who is hosting a special storytelling event we encourage all members to attend!

Join us at Nakameguro Taproom for My Japan Story SLAM: CH-CH-CH-CHANGES, an evening of live, 5-minute personal stories on the theme of Change: Stories of transition and transformation.

Ten storytellers will share true stories that will make you laugh, reflect, and connect with the experiences of others living in Japan. The audience will vote for their favorites to crown the first-ever People’s Choice Story SLAM Winner!

Although stories are not specific to architecture, this event celebrates the art of storytelling—an essential part of architectural practice. As architects, designers, and planners, we use stories to frame ideas, communicate design intent, and connect people to place. And its going to be a fun time!
